That is, I am once again a productive member of society.
I have swung a long-term project management contract with a major bank. It will run to at least February next year, and pay about 40% more than I earned from the mob who laid me off in February.
As I sit here looking out the window at a glorious spring day, I think I might just miss these days of idleness between consults. From Monday week, it will get back to being real again.

The other good thing about it is I will be working hand-in-hand with a really good mate, who is a top operator. Between us, we will make this project work without a doubt. If we do happen to fail, I have a cunning plan. My mate is a Muslim, and I've already told him that, if we fail, I'm going to tell the boss that Ibrahim keeps disappearing on me 5 times a day whenever I need him.
