Two of my daughters graduated from university last weekend, on two consecutive days, about 2,000 miles apart. I'm too old for that kind of travel, especially with three boys in tow. Nevertheless, the girls accomplished it and I was privileged to witness it, so I'm happy, if exhausted. One is off to Italy to study further, and the other is off to Alnwick for some practical experience. The third one of that set graduates in early June. I am getting a *big* raise this year!

Wow, that IS exhausting sounding! Good thing the ceremonies weren't on the same day!
Good to have a few more kids out of school...other than the three boys who have a little time yet, are there any more waiting to start university, or do you have most of them getting close to finishing up and finally supporting themselves?

This will be four out (or actually, not out, because the eldest is still in the midst of medical training and two of the girls will go on to further formal education), one at university (coming home for the summer), one in high school (going to Italy with her big sister and then coming home for the summer), and the three boys. Does that add up to the right number?

Does that add up to the right number? LOL! If you can't count them all, I sure can't! ;D You're going to be begging them for grandchildren when the last one is out and you feel like you're undergoing sensory deprivation with all the quiet you haven't heard in...hmm...a LONG time!

Well, gosh. My responsibility was supposed to be over after conception, and for most of them, I didn't even attend that! I shouldn't be expected to keep track.
Considering that the last one is 19 years younger than the first one (I think, but I may not have that math right either), I ought to have grandchildren by the time my nest is empty. I thought the eldest was headed in that direction, but then he and his significant other had significant differences of opinion about living and working in Africa.

Lucille Ball of I Love Lucy. You must be a real youngster not to know that reference. ;D

Lucy is still on all the time eevrywhere, so we can't be considered old if we recognise it. Can we?

I would like to point out that I never got the Lucy thing. Of course, I understood it straight away, but I would still like to deny it.
As to Rob's daughters, boy, am I jealous. I was only allowed the one (graduated five years ago) but I would have had a dozen (naturally, adopted or just plain stealing off the street) but the wife objected to even the one.

Had you told this to Rob a few years ago, he might have been happy to oblige and donate a few. ;D There's still a few little boys running around his house who sound to be quite the handful some days...he might still be willing to send them on an extended vacation. Actually, Rob, time flies...how old are the "little" boys now? They might not be so little anymore!
