While on holiday, Beth and I went whale watching off the WA coast. We had the most marvellous time. By sheer chance we happened to be the only people on the boat (other than the crew). Three young humpbacks came up and played around near the boat for about an hour. Wow! I ditto Georgina! I think I would have been just a little nervous, depending on the size of the boat. But would have still hung right out over the side for a better look. Is that some sort of fishing apparatus the one guy has in the corner of his mouth? Poor guy, looks like it's stuck. (or maybe it's part of the last boat that went by?)

Wow! I ditto Georgina! I think I would have been just a little nervous, depending on the size of the boat. But would have still hung right out over the side for a better look. Is that some sort of fishing apparatus the one guy has in the corner of his mouth? Poor guy, looks like it's stuck. (or maybe it's part of the last boat that went by?) I think it's some kind of growth, or maybe a barnacle or such-like.
