I thought this was a really good (and cute!) idea but then imagined the birds pecking at the yarns and yarn strung out all over the place, and the birds getting tangled in it in the water and on land. The penguins could even eat the yarn and how good could that be for them? I wonder if one used paper ribbons to knit with, if the sweaters would disintegrate eventually? Maybe something other than little sweaters would be a better solution.

Orcas would probably cough the little buggers up if they're wearing sweaters. What's next, nappies for the little ones?
