I think those flight trackers are pretty neat. Though, they are usually delayed about a half hour from actual "for security reasons."

Following this one, and it seems to be real time., They should be landing in a few minutes, and the tracker now shows them over NY and at the right altitude for landing. It is run by the NY/NJ Port Authority.
I am always ansty when my kids are traveling. I am never nervous to travel myself, but always when they are away. I should sleep well tonignt !

I'll be anxious with you, Beth. The more "anxious" flung at a plane ensures its safe return. I know. It's a proven fact.
I hope they had a fantastic honeymoon.

They did. Kate just called. They were on the ground for about 25 minutes before they could get to the gate. She is now with her luggage and on a bus to Grand Central Station. The a train trip to Beacon, and a 90 minute or so drive to Albany.....but they are heading home to their pups and their own bed, so they are happy.
And they loved Iceland !!

They are happy and you are happy and I'm happy for all of you! See? Being anxious truly works well.

When my babies are not in sight, it is my fallback position - and you are right, it seems pretty successful so far

It certainly was sunny - never got completely dark the entire time they were gone.....20-21 hours of sunlight, the rest was dusky

It certainly was sunny - never got completely dark the entire time they were gone.....20-21 hours of sunlight, the rest was dusky My wife had an exchange student from Iceland once. She complained the whole time about how cold it was in a Melbourne winter. Apparently everywhere in Iceland is centrally heated using geothermal energy, and our classrooms have very rudimentary, if any, heating. So to her, it was colder than home.
