I had to ask an on-line bud what kind of flower this is. As I have mentioned elsewhere, I don’t know flowers, (although, on a good day, I can usually tell the difference between a daisy and a rose) but I love shooting them. I also love playing with the pics that I would otherwise trash. Here's one of them:

Here's another that really didn't do anything for me until I played around with the image.

Bob, I really like what you've done with the second pic. What filter/effect are you using there?
I think the flower in the first pic is an iris, isn't it?

Wheel, it's a combination of effects; mostly colored chalk and chrome, but a few others thrown in too. I don't know the exact combination. I just play until I'm happy with it. Yes, the first one is an iris. Sorry, forgot to mention that.

Write down the combination next time. I like the effects you've achieved.

Georgina, each one is unique. What works for one doesn't necessarily work for another. That's why I said I just play with it until I'm happy. Or at least satisfied. These effects don't even work on a lot of my pics.

He might look like he's asleep, but he has one eye open, watching me.

Sorry for posting the large image here, but the smaller one really doesn't do this pic justice. This is one of my faves. What started out as a shot I was going to trash turned into this with a little playing around.

This is Emi. One of our two “tuxedo” cats, Emi usually runs from me, but she let me get in close for this shot. Then a little playing around.

So these are all just normal photographs that you simply tweaked with photoshop? If so, fantastic work -- I had no idea you could do such things with just regular photos.

Haven't graduated to PhotoShop yet. Too expensive. All except the one called Strike Three were just ho-hum pics that I decided to play around with. Strike Three was one I was going to toss. It was blurred from a slow shutter speed and camera movement, but after a little playtime, I had a pic I really liked. I sent a copy to the General Manager of our local Single A ball team, the San Jose Giants and never heard a word from him.
