Migraine attacks + head cold + had my iPhone stolen + iPhone not insured when I thought it was + hit with a $250 back tax bill + unfounded racism charge against a mate of mine = Totally a week to forget.

Yikes. Yep, write this one off and pretend it didn't happen.
Sorry all of those crappy things have piled up on you.

Wow....well, here's hoping that you got all the bad stuff out of the way had you have a lengthy span of only good things happening
So sorry. That has to really suck

It gets better ... Another migraine attack this morning, worse than yesterday. The pain was so bad, the only thing that seemed to help was to pant hard, hyperventilating a bit. I had to keep this up for more than half an hour, while Beth got me to the doctor. In the waiting room, I started to have a series of uncontrollable petit mal fits, I think because of the hyperventilation. I have a little history of that. They were the worst fits i've ever had, at least while conscious. I was given oxygen and taken via ambulance to the ER. They calmed me down and gave me some tests and such. I was discharged about 8 hours later, still twitching a little bit. When I have a twitch, which is not all that often, I usually only have one or to, and then it's done. Rarely if ever has it gone on for so long. The doctor had no idea what caused the headaches, so it could still come back. Next step is to get an MRI and EEG done, and see a dentist. Until someone knows what's causing the headaches, this will be a worry. It's highly likely that I will lose my driving license over this, and I may also lose my trauma insurance cover. Goody. I'm going to eat some chocolate now, it will make me feel better.

I am so sorry about all of this. I hope they find the cause quickly.
Can you explain about losing your trauma coverage? I always struggle with the idea that people lose coverage when they use the coverage they pay for and would like, if you don't mind, to understand the process there.

I am in the process of taking the trauma cover out and haven't paid yet. They asked lots of questions about epilepsy and I told them, rightly, that it hadn't happened for decades and was all under control. That's changed now, so they might refuse to cover me.

Well I found out the cause of the headaches. An infected wisdom tooth. I had it out this morning, and hopefully this will all go away now.

Teeth can be buggers. A few years ago I was losing a pound weight a day. After a fortnight I had lost a stone while still eating heartedly - to say I was worried doesn't start to cover it. I decided I had to see my doctor next morning to find out exactly what type of cancer I had but woke with a very swollen face and in agony. Pain is more important than serious illness (to me, any road) so I went to my dentist instead. Once he had drained the abscess I was fine and quickly put the weight back on. Really, teeth are very badly designed things indeed.

Good to hear you're feeling better, Pelti, and you are so right about teeth. I've had some past go-rounds with mine - they seem to be able to affect (in not a good way) everything in the body. Horrid little things.
